Sally Kimball is the muscle behind the Brown Detective Agency in the Encyclopedia Brown series by Donald J Sobol. He describes her as a champion athlete in several disciplines and even depicts her as a skilled boxer - and these stories were written at a time when women's boxing did not exist! Her last appearance is in the last Encyclopedia Brown story, wriien in 2012, just before her creator died.
