I used a really old copy of Toon Boom Studio... They don't even make it anymore! It seemed to handle tweening easier than OpenToonz.
It was a big learning experience, and I could have broken up the layers better. I think a lot of the "line tearing" was the transition between art that I scanned in, and the stuff I did free-hand in the app. The scanned drawings are much more precise, the freehand stuff tends to look like a mess.
